Classes Offered

Jazz
 

Jazz, a fun and stylistic class, will involve warm up, stretching, isolations, progressions of turns, leaps, kicks, and jumps across the floor, and combination in center. Dancers will learn proper technique that will stand as a foundation in their training.

 

Musical Theater

 

Jazz dance based with focus on acting and singing. Dancers will learn about well known musicals and acting skills including acting out scenes, characterization, and improv. 

Hip Hop

The latest and very popular form of dance. This upbeat class focuses on choreography and basic forms of hip hop including, popping, locking, and breaking

A combination of ballet, jazz and modern, lyrical /contemporary focuses on technique and using movement that is very expressive. Ballet is required to take this class.

Lyrical/Contemporary

Tap class will provide basic to intricate training in steps, rhythms, terminology and timing. Also coordination and syncopation through tap sounds. Dancers will be exposed to classic and traditional training as well as contemporary tap. 

Combo

 

An introduction to tap, ballet, & tumbling. Class is full of creative movement songs and exercises teaching coordination, rhythm, and balance, all while having fun!

Tap

Tumbling

Focus will be on increasing flexibility and mastering tumbling skills including walkovers, back handsprings, aerials, and front aerials.

A class specifically for 2-3 year olds to introduce them to dance and creative movement. Class will involve tap, ballet, and jazz while incorporating games and activities to keep young dancers learning and having fun!

Ballet/Pointe

Ballet is the foundation of all other dance styles. Through exercises at the barre and center, dancers build strength, poise, and balance. Ballet teaches discipline through the practice of graceful movement. All levels available and pointe available for qualified students.

Mommy & Me

It's never too early to start exploring music and movement! For ages 6-24 months. This 30 minute class is perfect for the tiniest dancers. Parents will join as we introduce ballet concepts, creative movement, and stimulate listening skills, balance and coordination.

Ballroom

Ballroom dancers use step-patterns, move rhythmically, and express the characteristics of music. Ballroom dancing consists of two styles: the Smooth, or Standard, and the Rhythm, or Latin. The Smooth, Standard style focuses on the elegance, grace and fluidity of movement. The Rhythm, Latin style focuses on a display of vibrant energy and a personal flair.
