Carolina Tavarez

Carolina is originally from Santiago, Dominican Republic. She began her ballet training at her hometown Institute of Culture and Dance (ICA), and the Youth Ballet Company at Ballet Contempora. She then participated at the International Meeting of Academies for Teaching of ballet, and the Ballet Competition of Young Dancers at the Habana, Cuba. Moving to the USA in 2008, she was awarded a scholarship to attend The Washington School of Ballet Professional Program, where she could participate in Youth America Grand Prix, and World Ballet Competition. In 2012 Carolina joined Ballet Arizona, where she had the opportunity to perform numerous Balanchine ballets such: as Western Symphony, Four Temperaments, Walpurgisnacht, Serenade, Concerto, Episodes, La Bayadere, Swan Lake, and Romeo and Juliet.
