Brant Michaels

Brant grew up in New Jersey, and moved to Manhattan to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.  He toured the states with the Broadway first national tour of "The Music Man," while still a teenager, and toured Europe as Baby John in "West Side Story".  Brant has performed off Broadway and was a principal dancer in American Dance Company.  Some favorite regional credits include the pre Broadway run of "Aladdin," "Cats," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "Hairspray," and "La Cage aux Folles."  Over the ten years Brant lived in New York City he also performed and raised money for numerous Broadway charities.  He enjoys teaching jazz, tap, tumbling, lyrical/ contemporary, musical theater and hip hop.  Seeing students artistically and technically grow is his favorite part of the process.  When not performing Brant continues to teach master classes and set choreography across the country, as well as judging for several national dance competitions. He is a member of Actors Equity.
